The major purposes of commercial surfactants used for cosmetics are generally emulsifying and solubilizing. Oil components have been used for emolient and cleansing agent. Besides glycol has been commonly used as moisturizer. Most of these materials are esters or ether with the combination of hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity. "PROTESIL" is multi-functional hybridpolymer with uniqueness that it consists of 3 components, not having only "PROTESIL" is sort of silicone-resin-polypeptide but 3 parts: hydrolyzed protein, silicone and alkyl within a molecule. From this structure, when "PROTESIL" is used for hair treatment agent, it exhibits high adsorption to hair: Silicone and alkyl part adsorb to hydrophobic part of hair shaft, and hydrolyzed protein adsorbs to hair shaft got into hydrophilic due to damage by coloring or perming. In addition, it results in repairing of hair damages, improvement of hair texture, and effective protection. These characteristics provide a wide range of applications for both skin care and hair care cosmetic products as emulsifier, disperser, texture enhancer, moisturizer, hair protector and hair color protector.
